2025 Library Impact Report

GPL is proud to highlight more all-time record-breaking growth in its 96th year serving its community. These numbers attempt to show both how much and why patrons use their library. Without library patrons, none of this growth is possible. Thank you, Gretna!

2025 Library Impact Report
Major growth in 2025 where 38,140 people visited the library, there were 715 library programs, 19,907 people attended library programs, there were 8,180 library accounts, 64,919 unique library website visitors, and 186,524 library items circulated.
Compared to 2024 there was a percentage increase in all areas. 6% more visitors, 13% more library events, 6% more program attendees, 9% increase in library accounts, 24% more website visitors, and 24% more items circulated.
