Closures

Both Library buildings are closed the first Wednesday of every month from 2-3pm, as well as the following public holidays:

New Year’s Day ⋅ Martin Luther King Jr. Day ⋅ President’s Day ⋅ Memorial Day ⋅ Independence Day ⋅ Labor Day ⋅ Thanksgiving Day & Friday ⋅ Christmas Eve & Day

Why two libraries?

We are one great library broken into two halves! Originally, the Main Library held our entire collection. When it maxed out on space, the Children's Library was purchased to allow the collection to spread out.

The Gretna Public Library Foundation is actively raising the funds needed to build a larger, modern, unified library for the Gretna community.
