Now Streaming: Kanopy

GPL is delighted to introduce a new eResource to library card holders!

Kanopy is a video streaming service that provides instant access to thousands of critically acclaimed movies, documentaries, and kid favorites. You can access Kanopy via app store for iPhone and Android, through your browser, or on a Smart TV device such as Roku.

To get started:

  1. Click here to visit GPL’s Kanopy page. You can also access this page from the navigation menu under “eLibrary”.
  2. Enter your Library Card number and password. The default password is the phone number you signed up for your card with (including the area code and without hyphens).
  3. Create an account using your preferred email.
  4. Stream!

Currently, users receive 5 credits per month, which refresh at midnight on the first of a new month. Credits are spent on chosen content – one credit can get you one film for 2-3 days or an entire Great Course series for the month. Credits don’t roll over, but some content, such as all of Kanopy Kids, is totally credit-free.
