Meeting Room

The main building of the Gretna Public Library has one meeting room which is available for public use. Non-profit, cultural, scientific, humanitarian, self-help, educational, and community service groups may use the meeting room in accordance with the Library’s Meeting Room Use Policy.

During library hours, the meeting room must remain open to library patrons. Groups looking for privacy should schedule meetings outside of library hours. Group sponsors may pick up the key at the circulation desk in advance of the meeting and will leave the key in the book drop box in front of the Library or otherwise return the key within 24 hours or will pay the full charges of having the Library re-keyed.

Meeting Room Terms

  • Alcoholic beverages and smoking are prohibited on the Library premises.
  • No uses of glitter, glue, paint, or any other items that could potentially stain the carpet or damage materials are allowed in the meeting room.
  • Groups are responsible for room set up and clean up after the meeting; a checklist is provided.
  • The maximum occupancy of the room is 15.

Meeting Room Amenities

Groups reserving the meeting room are welcome to use the tables, chairs, wipe board, and projector during meetings. Materials for the wipe board and projector are available in the drawer marked “Meeting Supplies.”

Please clean and restore all amenities to prior condition before leaving.
